Born on July 14, 1993. Born in Osaka.
She has been a core member of NMB48 since its establishment in 2010 as a first term student, serving as captain for 8 years.
On October 27, 2018, she held her graduation concert "SAYAKA SONIC ~Sayaka, Sasayaka, Sayonara, Sayonara~" at the East Plaza of Expo '70 Commemorative Park. It was the largest outdoor concert in NMB48's history, attracting about 30,000 people.
On November 4, she graduated from NMB48 after her graduation performance on that day.
In February 2019, she moved to Universal Music and held a live house tour "I'm ready" with 27 performances at 24 venues, and released her first single "Ichirinsou" on April 17.
In August, he began a regular radio program on CROSS FM, "Yamamoto Sayaka Kakeru," and released his second single "Thorn" and third single "Tsuioku No Hikari." On December 25, his third album "Alpha," for which he wrote all the lyrics, reached No. 5 on the Oricon Weekly Chart.
A nationwide hall tour was scheduled to begin in February 2020, but was cancelled due to COVID-19, but in August 2020, the final show was a live performance without audience participation.
In the same month, he released "feel the night feat. Kai Takahashi (LUCKY TAPES)" as a 7-inch analog disc, and in October, he started a regular radio show on J-WAVE "SPARK.
The single "Zero Universe", which was released on the 28th of the same month and featured tie-ups with all the songs, reached No. 3 on the Oricon Weekly Ranking.
In December, they released a video product "Yamamoto Sayaka LIVE TOUR 2020 ~ α ~", which included a live performance without audience.

On February 25, they released a single, "Dramatic Ni Kanpai," a geeky Latin rock song with a horn section, which is the theme song for the Tokai and Fuji TV drama series "Sono Onna, Jirba.

In July, they released the single "yonder", which became the tie-up song for Yamagata Nissan's 60th anniversary commercial. The latest single "Don’t hold me back" was released in August, and its music video featuring a full-fledged dance performance became the talk of the town.
In 2023, he announced his "SAYAKA YAMAMOTO LIVE TOUR 2024 -&-" tour, which will take him to 14 cities and 14 shows throughout Japan, and he has never slowed down his activities even in the Corona Vortex.
His appearance attracts attention from inside and outside of Japan.
